Who am I?

Timothy C Bryant

Innovator. Creator. Storyteller.

My career has been exciting – Even as a student working in retail and restaurants. It has been exciting because I’ve chosen to make it exciting by thinking different daily. My ideas have impacted brands, created new ones, and taken my work in directions I never could have dreamed.

After finishing college studies, I landed in a tech support role for a software company. I embraced that role, and it has taken me down a path of leadership, marketing, video, and animation.

Through all this time my entrepreneurial spirit has led me to create several businesses including CalvinKay Photography, Design by 31 (industrial design), justInCamelCase (software development), and ZMT Productions (film production).

B.S. Technology Management
Eastern Michigan University

The Technology Management program taught me how technology can impact a business and how to develop strategies that facilitate technological change. Most importantly it taught me to think like a leader and prepared me for several leadership roles that I’ve held since throughout my career.

2005–2006

A.S. Graphic Design Technology
Washtenaw Community College

As a student of design I studied the obvious software skills and design principles that come along with the trade. Most importantly the staff in the WCC Design Program, taught me how to see the world through a different lens than everyone else.

Current Projects

TenKay

youtube.com/@TenKayMusic

In 2023 I helped my daughter record her first song, a cover of Lost Boy by Ruth B. We made a music video which helped her achieve a goal she’s had since she was four—to have her own YouTube channel. We continue to create music together and with her two siblings.

BusIQ

This project has been fun because we’re building a business from the ground up. Currently I’m part of a two-man development team and also helping run the business along with an analyst and accountant. The great thing about being a part of a small team is that we all contribute to everything, and it is fun to wear those extra hats from time to time.

History That Doesn't Suck

Design by 31

dezin31.etsy.com

Stuck at home in 2020 led many to acquire new hobbies. For me it was 3D printing and Industrial Design. I quickly fell in love with the medium and the process and currently run a small Etsy shop selling my designs. In 2024 the shop expanded to include laser cut and engraved products.
